Minutes of the Board of Director’s Meeting, Unit 215, South Alabama Bridge Assn.

CALL TO ORDER

President Fran Krizman called the meeting to order at 1:45 p.m. Present were Fran, Bill Barton, Ed Stephens, Nan Watson, Barbara Slaughter and Margaret Miller.

Absent: Jean White, Bill McGlasson, and Nancy Hora.

MINUTES

The Minutes for the month of September were accepted as posted.

TREASURER’S REPORT.

Nan distributed and discussed the Treasurer’s Report. The total balance for the month of September was $29,882.01. The report was accepted.

MEMBERSHIP

No report.

OLD BUSINESS

Maintenance: Fran reported that she has talked with A- 1 Building Maintenance, Inc. and has terminated our contract with them. The cleaning service is now being provided by Neat and Pretty. Our contact person is Sandra Lewis, 689-0334.

Nominating Committee: The slate of officers for next year was presented to the Board by Bill Barton, Chair of the nominating committee. President: Barbara Slaughter, Vice President, Burke Brown; Secretary, Beth Carboneau; Membership, Jean White; Treasurer, Jane Mahoney. Members at Large: Edith Sandifer, Bill Barton, and Judy Kiper; Ex-Officio Member, Fran Krizman.

Locks: Fran reported that the locks have been changed as suggested by Bill Barton at last months meeting.

NEW BUSINESS

November Meeting: The November meeting will be held on November 19, 2008, rather than the week of Thanksgiving.

The meeting adjourned at 2:15 p.m.
