TOURNAMENT REPORT Phyllis reported that overall it had been a good Tournament year. The Gulf Shores Sectional was profitable while the Mobile Sectional incurred a loss. If we are not willing to continue to lose money on the Mobile Sectional we will have to limit the amount served or charge for coffee. Also, hotels do not want us to bring in any food. Combining the two sectionals, we had a small profit. Plans are in progress for future Sectionals. Many clubs have increased the size of their club buildings in order to cut costs on their Sectionals. We may wish to consider this option in the future. We have a signed contract with the Adams Mark Hotel to host the 2005 Regional. During the year we have also held many special games such as STAC, Instant Matchpoint, Friendship, etc. These have been successful. The possibility of raising the playing fee at future tournaments was discussed. Alma Golden moved that the membership agree to support the Board in the event a decision is reached to do so in the coming months. Seconded and carried.
